OPPO Reno 10x Zoom – Not Just An Average Flagship Smartphone

You may have noticed a lot of flagship smartphones launched this year and mostly powered by the same SoC (System-on-Chip), Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. So which flagship that stand out the most? Personally, the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom would be our choice. The intriguing new phone took the concept of OPPO Find X and enhanced it all around.

Here are few reasons the OPPO Reno 10x is not just an average 2019 flagship smartphone;

Design & Display

The huge 6.6-inch huge screen is all about display, no camera notches or hole-punch for the camera or sensors. The slim bezels and decent chin size made the device not as big as we expected from a 6.6-inch screen. The AMOLED panel is bright and vivid that makes the contents lively.

Not forgetting, under the AMOLED display it has a new improved in-display fingerprint scanner. It’s fast and accurate compared it to the conventional fingerprint scanner.

So what has happened to the front camera? To make the design look more minimalistic, the company uses a motorized Pivot Rising Structure front camera. This granted more elegant and real full-screen experience to a whole new level.

The pivot rising camera can be activated in 0.8 seconds which is as fast as some others fingerprint scanner. OPPO has tested with over 200,000 standard uses and even with daily use of 100/day, the mechanical should able to hold up for over 5 years.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 with Liquid Cooling Technology

The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom is perfected configured with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB USF 2.1 onboard storage. To have a buttery smooth experience, the Reno 10x Zoom is equipped with three different cooling technologies; Cooling gel, triple graphite layering and copper pipes to manage the device’s temperature effectively. With this, it can lower the device’s temperature by 13%.

The Reno 10x Zoom also engineered with gamers in mind and has been awarded a High-Performance Certification from TÜV Rheinland.

With substantial 8GB of RAM and super fast USF 2.1 storage, the phone would be a sleek performer. It would able to handle power-intense tasks with ease.

10x Hybrid Zoom, 60x Digital Zoom (16 -160mm)

This may sound gimmicky but the technology is already here and it’s available on the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom. This was possible with the periscope lens setup allowing it to have an actual 5x optical zoom and 10x hybrid zoom in lossless quality. It can even go further up to 60x with digital zoom. On top of that, OPPO added Dual OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) so you can have a steadier and sharp shot.

The main sensor is an ultra-clear 48-megapixels SONY IMX586. It’s a huge 1/2-inch sensor with 1.6μm pixel size. The wide 1.7 aperture allows more lights entering the lens and produce images rich in details while reducing the noise. This sensor is capable to deliver super high resolution and greater colour accuracy for more vivid details.

To give a different photo angles perspective, the Reno 10x Zoom has an 8 megapixels ultra wide-angle lens.

There are triple focus technologies found on the device; LDAF (Laser Detection Auto Focus), PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) and CDAF (Contrast Detection Auto Focus). This allows speedy yet precision shots in low light scenarios.

With the triple lens setup, the OPPO Reno 10x is a pocket-friendly travel device and even for Vlogs usage as it supports video recording up to 4K @ 60fps.

Battery Life & VOOC 3.0

When comes to battery life, the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom is packed with a huge 4,065 mAh battery. It also supports OPPO’s newer and better VOOC 3.0 that give a blazing fast 20W charges and 5 layers of safety protection.

The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom is currently available for pre-order at the price of RM 3,399 and pre-order customers will be receiving a total of RM 887 exclusive gift which consists of a Gimbal Stabiliser that worth RM 599; extended one year warranty (RM 139) and one-year screen warranty protection (RM 139).
