OnePlus revealed a new addition to the OnePlus Nord line-up; the OnePlus Nord CE 5G (Core Edition).

According to OnePlus during the interview with MrWhoTheBoss on his YouTube channel, OnePlus is claiming this Nord CE 5G would be the new midrange smartphone killer for this year.

So how solid the claim? Let’s dig into the specification; Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chip with 5G, up to 12G of RAM, 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED with 90Hz refresh rate and 4,500 mAh battery supports 30W WarpCharge 30T Plus.

The Nord CE will be paired triple rear camera setup; 64-megapixels main camera, an 8-megapixels ultra wide and a monochrome sensor. There’s even a 3.5mm headphone jack on this device. It comes in three colourways; Charcoal Ink, Silver Ray and Blue Void with fingerprint-resist matte finish.

The company also promise the Nord Ce will receive two years of software updates and three years of security updates to keep the phone smooth over time. The Nord CE 5G will be priced from €299 which isn’t cheap if direct convert to Malaysia. If it really wants to become the midrange killer smartphone, it needs to beat some tough competiors like the Mi 10T Lite and Samsung Galaxy A52 5G that sporting the same chip and hardware.
