Kingston Technology Remains Top DRAM Module Supplier for 2022

According to the latest report by the analyst firm TrendForce, Kingston announced its continued top position as the leading global third-party DRAM module supplier. Despite a slight dip in revenue, Kingston maintained its number one spot with a market share of approximately 78.12%, bringing in $13.5B (USD) in revenue. TrendForce noted a 4.6% year-over-year decrease in DRAM module sales across the industry in 2022. Kingston, however, managed to uphold its position as the worldwide leader for the 20th consecutive year.

The report indicated that the top five memory module houses worldwide contributed to 90% of the total sales in 2022, with Kingston maintaining its significant market share of 78.12%. Despite challenging consumer purchasing trends due to high inflation, Kingston’s strong brand presence and efficient product supply chain limited its decline, ensuring its consistent top rank in market share standings.

In 2022, Kingston revamped its acclaimed line of Kingston FURY Beast DDR5 and Renegade DDR5 memory modules by introducing white heat spreaders, providing users with the option to choose the color that best suits their individual style. In an era where meticulous system design is crucial, Kingston offers modules that complement both traditional all-black systems and the increasingly popular all-white PC.

Kingston remarked, “The 2022 findings from TrendForce underscore the company’s continuous expansion and adaptability amidst another challenging business year. This milestone not only reaffirms Kingston’s strong presence in the market but also highlights the company’s resilience and significance within the industry, as we proudly maintain our top position for the 20th consecutive year.
