Redmi Launched Redmi K30 Pro & K30 Pro Zoom Edition

Redmi held an online launch of their latest flagship K30-series smartphone, the Redmi K30 Pro 5G and Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition 5G. The Redmi K30 that announced in late December 2019 was just a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G powered smartphone and today Redmi added the “Pro” variants that use Qualcomm Snapdragon 865.

Redmi K30 Pro

Redmi K30 Pro is the updated Redmi K20 Pro that announced last year which market as Mi 9T Pro in Malaysia. It sports a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display that supports HDR10+ and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

It coupled up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage technology. There’s a 6GB variant but with LPDDR4x and 128GB USF 3.0 storage technology.

Camera-wise, the main camera is a SONU IMX686 64-megapixels camera sensor alongside with a 13-megapixels ultra-wide-angle, a 5-megapixels 2x telephotos and a dedicated 2-megapixels macro lens.

Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition

As you can tell from the name, the K30 Pro Zoom Edition will be featuring a longer telephoto zoom up to 30x digital with a higher resolution at 8-megapixels. The Zoom Edition offers only 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and storage option of 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.1.

Both of the devices come with a 20-megapixels pop-up camera and capable to record 8K resolutions video at 30 fps. It packed with 4,700 mAh battery and supports 33W fast charge and no wireless charging supported.

Redmi K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom Edition are only available in China with pricing as per below;

  • Redmi K30 Pro 6GB + 128GB – RMB 2,999 (~MYR 1,881)
  • Redmi K30 Pro 8GB + 256GB – RMB 3,399 (~MYR 2,132)
  • Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition 8GB + 128GB – RMB 3,799 (~MYR 2,383)
  • Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition 8GB + 256GB – RMB 3,999 (~MYR 2,509)

Not sure the Redmi K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom Edition will be coming to Malaysia anytime soon or could it be the new Poco F2.
