OPPO Unveiled 10x Lossless Zoom & Wide Zone Optical In-display Fingerprint Scanner

Today in Beijing, China, OPPO held its 2019 Future Technology Communication Conference to unveiled it’s forthcoming 10x lossless zoom technology and as well as wide zone optical in-display fingerprint scanner. All of these new technologies will showcase incoming MWC 2019 in Barcelona.

OPPO will employ triple-camera solutions that consist of “Ultra Wide Angle + Ultra Clear Master + Telephoto”. The Ultra Wide Angle will have an equivalent focal range of 15.9mm of wide and a Telephoto with 159mm equivalent focal range.

OPPO uses its pioneer “Periscope Structure” that makes full use of the width and thickness of the phone through the lateral arrangement and refraction of the lens set. This allows larger optical component under the premise of ensuring the phone body is thin and light.

OPPO also make a set ahead by having the industry benchmark-level drop test to ensure the reliability of the camera module. The camera prism experienced two rounds of drops test, with each round of consisting of 10,000 times on the front and back, 2,000 times on the remaining side.

OPPO also launched next-generation biometrics by releasing a new wide zone optical fingerprint recognition technology. This gives up to 15 times effectively recognizes compared to the current mainstream optical solution. It can be used for unlocks and pay by using fingerprint anywhere in the entire area. With the wide zone optical fingerprint recognition, it also supports two-finger simultaneous entry and authentication which bring a security level 50,000 times compared to a single fingerprint input.

We will be seeing more of these features on coming OPPO’s phones in 2019.
