Design & Display
The OPPO A91 uses AMOLED display technology that now has become a norm for the upper mid-range smartphone. It has a Full HD+ resolution display and features a “Waterdrop” notch for its selfie camera.

The OPPO A91 has a 91% screen-to-body-ratio with a dewdrop notch. It has a high-gloss rear plastic finishing that resembles a glass.

On the right side is the power button and on the opposite side are the volume rockers as well as triple card slot for SIM and microSD card.

At the bottom, you will find USB Type-C, 3.5 mm audio jack, speaker and a microphone hole. There are physical fingerprint scanner instead it features an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The overall design is pretty premium and sleek with a thickness under 8 mm only. OPPO Malaysia is offered two colours options; Lightening Black and Unicorn White.
Camera

It equipped with quad-rear camera setup with a main sensor of 48-megapixels, an 8-megapixels ultra-wide-angle and two 2-megapixels black and white data sensor and a depth sensor.

The front selfie camera is a 16-megapixels f/2.0 aperture lens.
Here are some photos taken with the OPPO A91;
The overall camera performance are pretty decent and at some points the ColorOS’s A.I. tend to sharpen and boost-up the contrast. Maybe this is some what the end-user want to see.
Performance & Software
This is a quite disappointment where the MediaTek Helio P70 is rather old at this pint of time.
Here are some benchmark score result

The OPPO A91 is running on ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie. Hope that the more clean and fluid ColorOS 7.0 to release onto the OPPO A91.
Battery & VOOC Flash Charge 3.0

It packed with a decent size of 4,025 mAh battery and supports the new 20W VOOC Flash Charge 3.0. This is a huge improvement to features on a mid-range device.
The battery life of the device is just average and can deliver around 4 to 5 hours of screen on time.
OPPO A91 Review
Verdict
The OPPO A91 is a great mid-range a smartphone to recommend in 2019 but not 2020. It has a great AMOLED display, decent camera and fast charging speed. The only drawback is a little outdated chipset that uses on the device.
For the price of RM 999, there is a list of strong competitions out there. Unless you are into the design and camera, where gaming performance is not your priority.
