MediaTek has launched two new 5G SoC based on 6nm process, MediaTek Dimensity 1100 and Dimensity 1200.

This brings a closer gap towards Qualcomm’s flagship chip, Snapdragon 888. Since both chips built from 6nm process, they have pretty similar specification; featuring Mali-G77 MC9 GPU, supports up to LPDDR4x 4,266Mhz RAM, UFS 3.1 storage technology, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.

The main differences are the process clock speeds, high refresh rate and ISP up to 200-megapixels.

MediaTek Dimensity 1100 is an octa-core processor with up to 2.6GHz clock speed, supports up to FHD+ 144Hz refresh rate and max camera ISP up to 108-megapixels.

As for the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 have the same octa-core configuration with up to 3GHz clock speeds, supporting up to 168Hz refresh rate on FHD+ and camera ISP up to 200-megapixels.
