HUAWEI has officially unveiled its new Operating System, the HarmonyOS 2 with all-scenario interconnectivity between devices. HUAWEI also announced few new products powered by the new OS including HUAWEI WATCH 3-series, HUAWEI MateView/MateView GT and HUAWEI MatePad Pro.
HUAWEI WATCH 3 series consists of HUAWEI WATCH 3 and HUAWEI WATCH 3 Pro, both are run HarmonyOS 2 It features professional health and fitness monitoring and ultra-long battery life. The HUAWEI WATCH 3 series includes a high-precision temperature sensor for the first time to support skin temperature detection. HUAWEI also bring new features such as handwashing detection and fall detection which help users monitor their workout progress and health condition with a science-based solution.
The HUAWEI WATCH 3 series strikes a balance between smartwatch and traditional watch aesthetics with a polished stainless steel watch body and a large display with ultra-curved 3D glass. A 3D rotating crown was used on this watch to offers more tactile feedback, it even allows high-precision finger movement recognition, where users can zoom in and out of images and slide across the menu options accurately.
The HUAWEI WATCH 3 series will supports standalone connectivity, meaning it will be offered eSIM service allowing users to answer incoming calls and internet data. The HUAWEI WATCH 3 series are expected to support up to 5 days battery live in smart mode and up to 21 days in ultra-long battery life mode.
HUAWEI also introduced the HUAWEI MateView Series monitor, it’s introduced as a brand-new product category. There are two models, MateView and MateView GT. The HUAWEI MateView featuring a 28.2-inch 3:2 aspect ratio display with 3,840 x 2,560. The monitor is professionally calibrated in the factory to accurately produce colours, achieving a colour accuracy rating of Delta <1. It also VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified and offers 90% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB colour gamut.
The HUAWEI MateView GT features a 34″ curved ultrawide display with 3,440 x 1,440 resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. The panel offer high colour accuracy of DCI-P3 colour space, Delta E <2, HDR10 and a peak brightness of 350 nits.
The MateView GT get an integrated SoundBar with some RGB touch and also a capacity touch to adjust volume with one finger. For expandability, the HUAWEI MateView GT gets a 3.5mm audio jack, two HDMI input, a DisplayPort 1.4 input, a USB C for charging and a full-features Type C.
The MateView monitors not only supports cable connections, it also supports smartphone OneHop Projection and Desktop Mode wireless. This allows users declutter their tables by connecting their mobile phone, notebook, tablet to the monitor wirelessly.
Lastly is the HUAWEI Matepad Pro tablet which also powered by HarmonyOS 2. It’s an upgrade from the MatePad Pro with a more powered by Kirin 9000E and 12.6-inch OLED FullView display. The display offers high colour accuracy rating of Delta <0.5 and TUV Rheinland Full Care Display 2.0 certification. The brilliant display is complemented by an eight-speaker sound system, which consists of large-amplitude tweeters and woofers to provide an immersive multimedia experience. HUAWEI also introduced M-Pencil 2nd Generation and HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard.
The 10.8-inch HUAWEI MatePad Pro is also getting a refresh with a new processor and powered by HarmonyOS 2.
