HONOR has officially unveiled its latest smartphone, the HONOR 50-series which consists of HONOR 50 Pro, HONOR 50 and HONOR 50 SE. Also, the HONOR 50-series are the first smartphone to get Google Mobile Services after the HUAWEI’s fiasco two years ago.

HONOR 50 and 50 Pro are the first devices to powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 5G. The differences are the display, front camera and charging system. The HONOR 50 Pro sports a bigger 6.72-inch OLED with 2,676 x 1,236 resolution while the HONOR 50 get a 6.52-inch OLED 2,340 x 1,080. Both displays have a 75° side curvation, 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling.

The HONOR 50 have a centre hole punch cutout that houses a 32-megapixels camera while the Pro get a pill shape cutout that houses a dual camera setup; a 32-megapixels and a 12-megapixels camera.

The duo gets the same camera setup; 108-megapixels f/1.9 aperture main camera, an 8-megapixels f/2.2 ultrawide, a 2-megapixels macro and a depth sensor.

Coming to the battery and charging system, the HONOR 50 Pro is packed with a 4,000 mAh battery while the HONOR 50 have 4,300 mAh. The HONOR 50 Pro supports a whooping 100W fast charging where a 20 minutes charge can top up from 0% to 90%. The HONOR 50 ain’t that shabby with the supports of 66W fast charging, the battery can be charged to 70% in just 20 minutes.

As for the HONOR 50 SE, it’s powered by MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G processor and sports a flat 6.78-inch LTPS IPS FHD+ with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also features super-narrow bezels at just 1.1mm, hence the 94.3% display screen-to-body ratio.

Photography wise, it features a triple rear camera; a 108-megapixels f/1.9 main camera, an 8-megapixels f/2.2 ultrawide and a 2-megapixels macro. The front selfie camera is a 16-megapixels camera sensor.

The HONOR 50 SE is packed with a 4,000 mAh battery and supports 66W fast charging. 20 minutes able to charge from 0% to 75%.

The HONOR 50-series are available in China starting today and will be available globally including Malaysia at later date.
