In Beijing, China today, Xiaomi has announced a new smartphone in Redmi’s lineup. The Redmi Note 3 that will be replacing Redmi Note 2 has uplifted the hardware and design yet maintain the affordable price tag.
The Redmi Note 3 feature full metal unibody design with present of fingerprint sensor. This is the first Xiaomi’s smartphone that has fingerprint sensor on the rear. The 360 degrees fingerprint sensor able to unlock in just 0.3 seconds and feature Trustonic TEE chip-level security.
It still powered with same processor, MediaTek Helio X10 MT6795, 5.5-inch FHD display, 13 megapixel rear camera with PDAF with dual tone flash and a five megapixel front facing camera.
Redmi Note 3 has two variants; 2GB of RAM with 16GB internal storage and 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage. There is missing microSD card slot, thus decide wisely.
It packed with an enormous 4,000mAh battery and supported fast charging where it can charge 50% battery under 1 hour.
Note 3 runs on MIUI 7 based on Android 5.1 and it comes with three colors option; Gold, Silver and Gray.
The starting price for Redmi Note 3 is RMB 899 (approx. RM 594) for 2GB RAM / 16GB ROM and RMB 1,099 (approx RM 726) for 3GB RAM / 32GB ROM.
