The Redmi 8 which was unveiled few days ago has quietly launched here in Malaysia.

The Redmi 8 is a budget entry-level smartphone that powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 Octa-core processor coupled up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage. Redmi 8 featuring a 2+1 dual SIM slow with a dedicated microSD card that can further expand up to 512GB.

It sports a 6.22-inch Dot Drop HD+ display and packed with 5,000 mAh battery supporting 18W Quick Charge via USB Type-C. Unfortunately, it only comes with the standard 10W charger in the box.

Camera-wise, it has a dual rear camera setup; 12-megapixels main camera with a 2-megapixels depth sensor. The front camera is an 8-megapixels camera sensor.

It is available in two variants; 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB and colour options; Onyx Black, Sapphire Blue and Ruby Red. It’s priced at RM 499 and RM 599 respectively.

The 4GB variants will be available starting 12th October and entitled for a free Mi Compact Bluetooth Speaker 2 (worth RM 49) where the 3GB variants will be available later which is 18th October onwards.
