Xiaomi has updated it smaller Redmi 3 series with a some serious hardware improvement over the current Redmi 3.
The new Redmi 3 that some label it as Redmi 3 Pro has quite similar design with Redmi Note 3 that has metal built design, fingerprint scanner on the back and remarkably high 4,100 mAh battery capacity on a 5-inch device.
Redmi 3 sports a 5-inch HD IPS display, powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 with 3GB of RAM. It also comes with 32GB onboard storage and expandable microSD card slot (up to 128GB) via a hybrid-SIM tray.
The phone having the same 13-megapixel PDAF f/2.0 lens rear camera and a 5-megapixels front facing camera.
As mentioned earlier, the new Redmi 3 has bumped up to 4,100 mAh battery and believe would have much battery life as compare to Redmi Note 3 due to smaller display, lower resolution and less-powerful SoC.
It will be running on MIUI 7 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and will go on sale in China starting 6th April 2016 for RMB 899 (approx RM 556)
