When come to affordable flagship smartphone, Xiaomi will always be in the list. OnePlus may need to work harder on this.
Xiaomi has finally launched the much awaited Mi6, their latest flagship phone in 2017.
This round they didn’t make any radical design or features like tall screen display like the Galaxy S8 and LG G6 instead offering insanely affordable price tag for Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 powered device.
The Mi6 is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 based on 10nm process SoC and powered with 6GB of RAM.
It sports a rather small display, 5.15-inch Full HD display with 600 nit of brightness. Xiaomi learnt that high resolution doesn’t really make much different on a smart screen display, in fact it can provide better battery life.
There is an ultrosonic fingerprint scanner under the front glass home button similar to the Mi5 and even has water splash resistant.
Like others smartphone, the Mi6 finally features dual camera setup where it consists of a telephoto lens and a normal lens which is similar to the iPhone 7 Plus. This allows to shoot photos with wider aperture that create shallow depth-of-field or better known as Bokeh. Both of the camera is a 12 megapixel sensor with 4-axis OIS (optical image stabilisation)
Stereo speaker is now being introduced on the Mi6
To keep the lights on, it packs with a 3,350 mAh battery.
The Xiaomi Mi6 will be available in four colors; Black, Blue, White and one super eye-catching Silver Edition.
The Xiaomi Mi6 will be available in China starting 28th April and priced from RMB 2,499 (about RM 1,598) to RMB 2,999 (about RM 1,916) depending on storage size and ceramic rear option.
No words that the Mi6 will be made available out of China anytime soon but will be expecting parallel importers will be bring it in to Malaysia very soon.
