Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha – Concept Phone with 180.6% Screen-to-body Ratio & 108-megapixels Camera

The Xiaomi Mi MIX was introduced as a concept phone in late 2016 and there were few Mi MIX series introduced till Mi MIX 3 5G. Today Xiaomi introduced another new concept phone by the name Mi MIX Alpha. This is a one-piece display covered almost the entire device. With this the company claimed it to have 180.6% screen-to-body ratio from front to side and to the rear.

The Mi MIX Alpha features a new technology Mis-touch detection that deactivates the non-active are, allowing allocation of touch commands. It also features pressure-sensitive display on both sides that and also has linear motor that simulates the touch of physical buttons.

The only area that’s not a display is the cameras placed. The Mi MIX Alpha features World’s highest-resolution camera on a smartphone, a whopping 108-megapixels sensor with 1/1.33″ image sensor size. It also has a 20-megapixels ultra-wide-angle and 12-megapixels 2x optical zoom.

The concept phone uses aerospace-grade titanium alloy, a single piece of sapphire glass on the camera and ceramic strip.

Like all others 2019 flagship smartphone, it packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+, 12GB of RAM, 512GB UFS 3.0 storage, 4,050 mAh battery that supports 40W wired fast charging and 5G dual SIM.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha is not available anytime soon but it has a price. It will be priced somewhere around RMB 19,999 (~ MYR 11,770)
