Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Announced with Snapdragon 625 and Humongous 5,300 mAh Battery

The well receive phablet from Xiaomi, the Mi Max has being introduced a new replacement Mi Max 2.

Like the last year Mi Max, it retained the 6.44-inch Full HD IPS display and has very little improvement in term of design aesthetic.

The Mi Max 2 now is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 paired with 4GB of RAM as standard. It comes with 2 variants storage size, 64GB or 128GB.

Camera wise is the new 12 megapixel SONY IMX386 sensor and a 5 megapixel front facing camera.

The fingerprint scanner remained on the rear of the device and has a new antenna band design, U-shape that similar to the vivo V5 Plus. The highlight of the device is the new big capacity battery of 5,300 mAh with the support of Quick Charge 3.0 via USB Type-C. According to the company, the battery can be charge up to 68% in just an hour for it size. Do expect a very long usage of the device with just a single charge.

Stereo speaker is now being supported and it will only being activated when the device tilted to landscape. The second speaker will be coming out from the ear-piece speaker which similar to the Huawei P10 and iPhone 7.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will be offered in China for now at the price of RMB 1,699 (RM 1,057) for 64GB storage and RMB 1,999 (about RM 1,245 for 128GB storage.

Seem that Mi Malaysia is in plan to bring in the Mi Max 2 very soon as they are asking the Mi Fans interest to bring in the device on their official Facebook Page.
