Today Xiaomi Malaysia held an event in Kuala Lumpur announced the new phablet, the Redmi Note 2 and it will be retailing at RM 649.
The new Redmi Note 2 is packed quite high end hardware at affordable price. It’s powered by MediaTek Helio X10, 64-bit 2.0GHz octa processor and 2GB of RAM. Unfortunately, we are not getting the Redmi Note 2 Prime that has higher clocks. It get a 16GB internal storage and microSD card slot for storage expansion that can go up to 32GB.
The Redmi Note 2 get a 5.5-inch FHD IPS display with Sunlight Display & Night Display technology that optimizes the display for different environments doesn’t matter in indoor or outdoor.
It features a 13 megapixel rear camera with PDAF that can lock focus in 0.1 seconds and also a 5-megapixel front selfie camera.
A 3,060mAh battery is packed in Note 2 and support dual-SIM LTE, dual-standby. It also feature fast charging, an IR blaster to can control TV, air-conditioners, DVD/Blu-ray Player and etc.
The Redmi Note 2 will be running on the latest MIUI 7.0 based on KitKat that promised 30% faster response and 10% longer battery life over MIUI 6.0
The Redmi Note 2 will available for pre-order from 11th November 2015 and will ship in 14 days after that.
