Xiaomi Malaysia Announced The Redmi Note 7, Redmi 7 and Smart Home Peripherals

Xiaomi Malaysia today announced two new smartphones and some smart home peripheral here in Kuala Lumpur.

Redmi Note 7

This is the first smartphone under the new Redmi branding and it was unveiled last month. Redmi Note 7 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE coupled with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage.

It sports a 6.3-inch IPS Full HD+ resolution protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The Redmi Note 7 is glass sandwich front and rear. The fingerprint scanner is mounted on the rear and equipped with a dual rear camera setup; 48MP f/1.8 aperture Samsung GM1 sensor + 5MP depth sensor. The selfie camera is a 13MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

Redmi Note 7 is packed with 4,000 mAh battery and supports Quick Charge 4.0 (QC4 adaptor is not included)

It comes with three variants;
• 3GB + 32GB – RM 649 **
• 4GB + 64GB – RM 799
• 4GB + 128GB – RM 949

Redmi 7

The Redmi 7 was only announced yesterday in China will be made available in Malaysia sooner than we expected.

Redmi 7 is running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 coupled with 2GB/3GB of RAM and internal storage of 16GB/32GB.

It sports a 6.2-inch HD+ resolution protected with Corning Gorilla Glass with a “Dewdrop” notch like the Note 7. The dewdrop notch houses an 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera. The main camera are dual rear camera setup; 12MP f/2.2 + 2MP depth sensor.

The Redmi 7 comes with two variants
• 2GB + 16GB – RM 499
• 3GB + 32GB – RM 599

The Redmi Note 7 and Redmi 7 is packed with 4,000 mAh battery and comes with 18 months warranty as standard. Both will be available for sale starting 26th March 2019.

Beside smartphone, Xiaomi also unveiled few smart home peripherals including Mi Home Security Camera 360° 1,080p, Mi Smart Sensor Set and Mi LED Smart Bulb
