Xiaomi in China unveiled their latest Xiaomi TV line-up, the Xiaomi TV Master Edition where the top-tier uses mini-LED display panel. There are 2 variants of them; 82″ Master Extreme Edition in 8K and 82″ Master Edition in 4K.

Xiaomi Mi TV 82″ Master Extreme Edition (8K) features 7,680 x 4,320 8K resolution display with 120Hz MEMC refresh rate, True 10-bit panel, HDR10, Dolby Vision and 4 million:1 contrast ratio. The TV has very narrow bezels with a screen-to-body-ratio up to 98%

Because of 8K, it integrated with 15,360 mini LED lamp that can boost up to 2,000+ nits brightness and offers 98% DCI-P3 colour gamut. It uses Novatek 72685 8K TV chips; dual-core A73 + dual-core A53 processor and Mali-G51 MP4 GPU chip. The chipset also supports 5G network connection.

As for the 4K counterpart, the Xiaomi Mi TV Master 82″ 4K is powered by MTK 9650 TV chip, quad-core A73 processor + Mali G52 MC1 GPU chipset + 1T AP.

It uses a normal IPS panel with 4,320 x 2,160 resolution that supports 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG. The panel offers up to 1,000 nits brightness, 93% DCI-P3 colour gamut and True 10-bit colour.

The Xiaomi Mi TV 82″ Master Extreme Edition will be available 21st October onwards with a whopping price tag of RMB 49,999 (~MYR 30,530) whereas the Mi TV 82″ Master Edition 4K is going for RMB 9,999 (~MYR 6,106). Both currently will only be available in China.
