Mijia, the sub-brand of Xiaomi launched a 3-axis gimbal for the smartphone. The design of the gimbal is similar to the gimbal made for their action camera.
The new Mijia gimbals offer like others 3-axis stabilization to the smartphone but at a very affordable price tag. It priced at RMB 599 (translated to RM 374). It features high precision altitude sensor and real-time stabilization with 0.03-degree accuracy.
It supports a maximum width of 86mm and weight of a 200gram smartphone. With the provided app, the gimbal has the auto-follow function and as well as time-lapse video shooting.
The packed 5,000 mAh battery can operate more than 16 hours at the same time charge your smartphone.
Although it packed with such large battery, the gimbal is weighed less than 500 gram and built with durable polycarbonate shell. At the bottom is a quarter inch standard screw for tripod mounting if required.
Currently, the Mijia Gimbal is only made available for China market. We may expect it to reach to Malaysia soon through grey market since the demand for smartphone videography is growing and smartphone camera getting seriously good.
