A new device was announced along with Mi TV 3, Mi TV Main Board. The Mi TV Main Board is actually a Sound Bar that built in Mi Box (Android Box)
The reason of this design is, Xiaomi explained a 4K TV can last up to 10 years but the smart TV’s internal hardware may outdated in as short as 18 months. This it’s an idea for people to upgrade it Smart TV when needed.
It has a powerful hardware at the moment, MStar 6A928 Processor, 2GB of RAM, 8GB ROM. It will be running on Android 5.1, optimized with MIUI for TV.
It has 4 2.5-inch mid range subwoofers and two dome tweeter.
Most of the connections can be done in a single wire connection to the Mi TV main board.
The Mi TV Main Board does not only connect to TV, it can be connected to others projection device like Computer Monitor, Projector and as well VR
The Mi TV Main Board is retailing for just RMB 999 (approx. RM 663)
There’s also an optional upgrade by adding Mi Subwoofer that support wired or Bluetooth connections for only RMB 599 (that’s about RM 398)
and Bluetooth remote control that support voice recognition, RMB 99 (translate to RM 66)
