Xiaomi today announced a new smartphone under the Redmi Note family, the Redmi Note 5A.
The Redmi Note 5A focus on its front-facing camera featuring a 16-megapixel camera with softlight LED flash. The rear camera is a 13-megapixel camera with PDAF. As for specs, the Redmi Note 5A is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425/435 and sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display.
You maybe wonder why they come out with Redmi Note 5A where it’s spec like the smaller Redmi-series. My guess goes to the (A)ffordable that has Note’s display size and entry-level spec that cut the cost. So this would not clash the Redmi and Redmi Note series.
To keep the lights on is a 3,080 mAh battery and runs on their latest MIUI 9 on top of Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-box.
There are 3 variants differ by SoC, RAM and storage;
• Snapdragon 425, 2GB of RAM and 16GB Internal Storage – RMB 699
• Snapdragon 435, 3GB of RAM and 32GB Internal Storage – RMB 899
• Snapdragon 435, 4GB of RAM and 64GB Internal Storage – RMB 1,199
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A will only be available in China currently and no words that it will offer global that include Malaysia.
