Western Digital Acquire SanDisk For US$ 19 Billion, Enabled Flash Drive Business Expansion

Today Western Digital officially announced that they have acquire all of the outstanding shares of SanDisk for approximately US$ 19 billion.

With the acquisition, Western Digital will be offering a complete storage solutions. This allows Western Digital to integrate flash memory with it current products.

Western Digital is know with Hard Disk Drive, SSD and cloud datacenter solution only thus it’s a beneficial move to obtain the flash drive pattern and expertise from SanDisk.

Western Digital is now waiting the approval of the transaction by SanDisk shareholders and will be expected to close the deed in quarter three of 2016.
