vivo NEX Dual Display Edition – Dual Display & Dedicated Night Video Camera

vivo announced its first pop-up selfie camera flagship in mid of this year, the vivo NEX that bring a stunning 91.24% screen-to-body ratio. Today, vivo announced a new upgrade to the NEX, NEX Dual Display Edition.

From the name, you already know that the new NEX will be featuring dual-screen design. It has a 6.39-inch Ultra FullView SuperAMOLED Display with an improved screen-to-body ratio of 91.63%. No notch or waterdrop what so ever. There are this “Lunar Ring” features on the rear display creates a glowing band of colors which can signify notifications and even pulse with music.

Behind the device is an additional 5.49-inch SuperAMOLED display alongside with triple camera setup; 12-megapixel SONY IMX363 with 4-axis OIS, a specialized Night Video Camera and a Time of Flight (TOF) 3D camera. With the additional display on the rear, there’s no need of an additional front camera. This enabled us to take the same quality photos by using the same camera.

The Night Video Camera helps uses film clear and stable footage in motion from any low-light environments while the TOF 3D camera enables point-to-points distance measuring and support 3D modeling.

Under-the-hood is Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 coupled with 10GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The in-display fingerprint scanner is still present in the vivo NEX Dual Display Edition.

The vivo NEX Dual Display is now offered in China market at the moment and priced at RMB 4,998 which is translated to about RM 3,036.
