vivo has officially entered the foldable smartphone bandwagon with the launch of the vivo X Fold in China yesterday. Along with that, vivo also unveiled two more devices including a premium 7-inch smartphone, the vivo X Note, and vivo’s first-ever tablet, the vivo Pad.

vivo X Fold has a very similar design language with other foldable smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G. Features a 8.03-inch inner foldable LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover display is a 6.53-inch FHD+ 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED display.
Packed with a 4,600 mAh battery that supports 66W wired fast charge and 50W wireless fast charging. Equipped with a quad rear camera setup; Zeiss Optics; 50-megapixels f/1.75 main camera, a 48-megapixels ultrawide, a 12-megapixels 2x optical lens and an 8-megapixels periscope 5x optical telephoto.
Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 paired with 12GB of RAM and two storage options; 256GB and 512GB. Priced at RMB 8,999 (~MYR 5,982) and RMB 9,999 (~MYR 6,647) respectively.

On the vivo X Note, it’s has a mammoth display size at 7-inch 21:10 ratio QHD+ E5 AMOLED with supports of 120Hz refresh rate. The panel offers 1,500 max peak brightness and 112% DCI-P3 coverage. Under the display it features a large ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that can read two fingerprints increased the security 50,000 times compare to single.
Photography wise, it has pretty similar camera setup with the vivo X Fold aside the 50-megapixels camera get a wider f/1.57 aperture lens. Backed with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.
Powered by the same powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with three configurations; 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB which priced at RMB 5,999 (~MYR 3,988), RMB 6,499 (~MYR 4,320) and RMB 6,999 (~MYR 4,652) respectively.

Coming to vivo Pad, it comes with a 11-inch 2.5K IPS display with 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision certified. The vivo Pad is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor and runs on vivo’s new tablet-designed software, Origin OS HD which is based on Android 12. Users can pair their vivo phone with this tablet and works similar to HUAWEI Multiscreen Collaboration.
The vivo Pad comes with optional keyboard and active stylus for productivity.
It only comes with Wi-Fi variant and there are two storage configurations options paired with 8GB of RAM, 128GB and 256GB which priced at RMB 2,499 (~MYR 1,661) and RMB 2,999 (~MYR 1,994).
There’s no confirmation on the availability of these three devices in Malaysia.
