vivo APEX 2019 Concept Phone Unveiled – Button-less with Curved-Surface Waterdrop Glass Design

vivo hold a press conference in Beijing yesterday to launch their new APEX 2019 concept phone. This is the vivo’s first 5G phone that offers an unique design with curved-surface waterdrop glass also has no button nor holes including USB port.

The vivo APEX 2019 has this Super Unibody design and Full-display fingerprint scanning technology. Meaning, you can unlock your phone on any areas of the display. It also increases the security levels by having more than one fingerprint scanning input.

When there are no physical buttons, vivo introduced capacitive touch and pressure-sensing on the frame. It will give strong haptic feedback when you press the frame.

Since the USB ports and speakers grill no longer present on the device. vivo replaced the USB port by a MagPort, a magnetic power connector that allows both charging and data transfer. As for the speaker, the APEX 2019 turns its display into a speaker by using SoundCasting Technology.

The vivo APEX 2019 runs on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC with a huge 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage.

vivo will be showcasing this concept phone on coming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 in Barcelona at the end of February 2019 and the visitors to the event will have the opportunity have a first-hand viewing of the device.

There are no details on the complete specs as it’s just a concept phone and just to showcase their technologies that may come to their flagship phone like the vivo NEX.
