Transcend Information Inc. announced the ESD250C portable solid state drive which features a sturdy metallic case in an alluring space-gray hue.

It has a USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 2 interface port and pre-formatted exFAT file system It’s compatible with desktop and notebook PCS and provides ultra-fast transfer speeds and extra-large capacity expansion to various devices, such as on-the-go mobile devices and gaming consoles.

Taking full advantage over the USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 2 and UASP, the ESD250C achieves exceptional transfer speeds of up to 520MB/s. With the UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol), it can boost transfer speeds faster than traditional USB 3.0 interface when used with an UASP-enabled host computer.

The ESD250C has a minimalist yet pocketable design that small enough to fit into the pocket. It uses lightweight aluminium construction and thickness merely 7.5mm.

To accommodate devices with different USB ports, the ESD250C is equipped with a USB Type-C port, offering great compatibility with desktop and laptop PCs, on-the-go mobile devices and gaming consoles, as well as up to 480GB of storage capacity. On top of that, the ESD250C comes bundled with a USB Type-C cable and a USB Type-C to Type-A cable for seamless connectivity with the latest USB Type-C devices or conventional PCs with USB Type-A connectors.

ESD250C comes with an advanced software package, Transcend Elite compatible with Windows OS and macOS.
