Google has just announced the official name for its latest Android version, Android 9 Pie. The new Android version OS bring more into Artificial Intelligence that could make your phone smarter, simpler and more tailored fit for you.
Here are some features on the new Android 9 Pie;
Adaptive Battery
Go more with a single charge. Adaptive Battery learns how you like you use your phone, so the apps and services you don’t use as much aren’t a battery drain
Adaptive Brightness
Don’t worry about changing your brightness – your phone learns how you like to set it and automatically adjusts. Easy as pie.
App Actions
App Actions predicts what you’re about to do, so you get to your next task more quickly. If you do something like connecting your headphones, the playlist you were listening to earlier is front and center.
Slices
Slices bring relevant parts of your favorite apps to the surface. Next time you search for Lyft, you can see prices and driver ETAs right within your results.
Intuitive Navigation
Switch between apps and get to what you need more naturally by using gesture instead of buttons.
Digital Wellbeing
Introducing a set of tools to help you to learn how you use your phone and more any adjustments you’d like along the way.
Dashboard
Get a better idea of how often you use your phone. You can see how many notifications you get, plus how much time you spend on apps and how often you check your phone.
App Timers
App Timers let you know you when you’re getting close to your set limits, and app icons gray out when you reach those limits to help remind you of your goals.
The new Android 9 Pie update will begin to roll over-the-air to the Pixel phones. Devices that participated in Beta program from SONY Mobile, Xiaomi, HMD Global (Nokia), OPPO, vivo, OnePlus and Essential, as well qualified Android One devices will also receive the update by end of this year.
