Samsung Reported Temporarily Halts Production of Samsung Galaxy Note 7

Today Samsung Electronics Co. has temporarily suspended production of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphone. This is due to a series of media reports of the Note 7 replacement caught fire.

The halt is in cooperation with consumer safety regulators from their home grown country, South Korea, the United States and as well China.

“This measure includes a Samsung plant in Vietnam that responsible for global shipments (of the Galaxy Note 7)” the official said.

Samsung announced a global recall of 2.5 million units earlier last month following by 5 reports of some devices caught fire within a week.

Some countries does accept refund and replacement to others Samsung Galaxy devices. There is no news from Samsung Malaysia what’s the next step or offering refund or replacement with others Samsung devices.
