As I have reviewed the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 5G, the most significant upgrade over its predecessor was the battery.

The Galaxy Z Flip3 5G is currently the best-selling foldable smartphone; and there was a lot of feedback about its battery life, which brought a bigger battery capacity onto the new Galaxy Z Flip4 5G. The device now comes with a 400mAh bigger battery rated at 3,700mAh typical capacity. What surprised me the most is the increased weight of just 4 grams, which no one can tell without reading the tech spec.

The increase of 12% in capacity results in longer battery stamina and in addition to that, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 5G is powered with a more power-efficient 4nm process Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and sports a variable refresh rate that can go as low as 1Hz compared to 24Hz on the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G. With all the new improvements, it can get consist of 4 hours and above screen-on-time.

I ran the PC Mark Work 3.0 battery life test, this is the best result I obtained compared to the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G and Galaxy S22 Ultra;

On top of that, it now supports 25W Fast Charging, not a record-breaking speed but it can charge up to 50% in just 30 minutes or 78 minutes to fully charge. That’s the same charging time as the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G considering its 12% bigger battery capacity. Worth noting that the charger is not included in the box and I was using the UGREEN 100W GaN charger for this test.

It also supports Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, where it can go up to 15W input. You can even reverse charge your wireless earbuds or Galaxy Watch5 with Wireless Power Share.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 5G comes with four color options plus a special Bespoke Edition; Graphite, Pink Gold, Blue, and their signature color this year, Bora Purple.
