Out of nowhere, Samsung has just announced its Samsung Galaxy S21 FE (Fan Edition) which we were initially thought they axed.
Samsung S21 FE 5G kinda sit in between the Galaxy S21 5G and S21 Plus 5G where it offered a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED 2X display. It’s a 120Hz refresh rate panel and 240Hz touch sampling. Having the same unibody design language with the current S21’s line up and offered in four colour options; Olive, Lavender, White and Graphite. It uses the same plastic materials found on the Galaxy S21 for the back cover and right up to the camera bump.
Powered by Samsung Exynos 2100 processor like others Galaxy S21-series; paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. No memory slots were mentioned on the press release which we assume no storage expansion.
Equipped with triple rear camera setup; 12-megapixels f/1.8 Dual Pixel AF with OIS main camera, 12-megapixels f/2.2 FOV 123″ ultrawide camera and a 30-megapixels f/2.4 with 30x Space Zoom telephoto camera. It has a 32-megapixels centre hole punch for selfie-taking and video calls.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G is packed with a 4,500 mAh battery and supports 25W wired or 15W wireless fast charging. It’s also rated IP68 for water and dust resistance. Out of the box, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will be running on Samsung’s latest OneUI 4.0 based on Android 12 and promised 3 major software updates to Android 15.
It will be priced at RM 2,899 and RM 3,099 for 128GB and 256GB storage options respectively.
