Samsung Galaxy Note 20-series Announced – Price from RM 3,899

Samsung yesterday has officially unveiled its latest Galaxy Note-series, the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra. It has a pretty much similar design with the predecessor, the Galaxy Note 10 and internal with the Samsung Galaxy S20-series.

There are total 3 variants; the Galaxy Note 20 4G, Galaxy Note 20 5G and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G. The trio is powered by Samsung Exynos 990 processor and coupled with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB internal storage (Note 20 4G/5G) as for the Ultra bumped to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB internal. The standard Note 20 doesn’t get memory card slot expansion where the Note 20 Ultra has a microSD card slot.

The Note 20 sports a 6.7-inch 60Hz refresh rate Super AMOLED flat display with 2,400 x 1,080 resolution. Whereas the Note 20 Ultra has a 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED with slight curvation on the side but at bigger 6.9-inch 3,088 x 1,440p resolution. There’s a centre hole-punch notch houses a 10-megapixels front camera.

  • 12-megapixels ultra-wide-angle
  • 64-megapixels telephoto with 3x Hybrid optical zoom

One of the main improvement of the new Galaxy Note 20 is the S-Pen. The S-Pen input gets 9ms low latency input which is as good as the new iPad Pro.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is packed with 4,500 mAh battery as the standard Note 20 is packed at 4,300 mAh battery. Both supports Wireless Fast Charging 2.0. It will be running on Samsung’s latest OneUI 2.1 based on Android 10.
