Samsung Malaysia has just launched its latest Galaxy M-series midrange smartphone, the Galaxy M22.
It has pretty similar hardware to the Samsung Galaxy A22 which I recently reviewed. The Galaxy M22 is powered by MediaTek Helio G80, a gaming optimized processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. Sporting the same 6.4-inch Super AMOLED HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
Camera department, quad rear camera setup; 48-megapixels main camera, 8-megapixels 123-degree ultrawide, a 2-megapixels macro lens and a depth sensor. Packed with a 5,000 mAh battery, a 13-megapixels front camera and runs the latest Samsung One UI 3.1 based on Android 11.
The significant differences are the outlook and some internal hardware. The Galaxy M22 features a more rugged back plastic cover and comes with two colour options; Black and Light Blue. It gets a faster-charging speed which supports 25W fast charging but missing OIS on its main camera. Worth noting, even though it supports 25W fast charging, it is bundled with a standard 15W Adaptive Fast Charging only.
The new Samsung Galaxy M22 will be sold on the Samsung Online Store from 5th October 2021 with a recommended price of RM 899. In conjunction with Shopee 10.10 campaign, you can get RM 120 off when you pre-order the Galaxy M22 on Shopee at just RM 779 from 3rd to 10th October 2021.
