Samsung Galaxy A90 5G – First Flagship SoC on A-series

Samsung has gone wild launching a lot of new mid-range smartphone since late last year and for the first time, the company uses the flagship processor onto their A-series smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy A90 5G is their latest A-series addition that powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 that found on major flagship smartphone in the market.

“We’re excited about the success of the Galaxy A Series – a generation of smartphones built for the new Era of Live that focuses on essential features people want the most, including a high-quality camera, long-lasting battery and immersive display,” said DJ Koh, President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics. “Samsung has worked tirelessly with our partners in the 5G ecosystem to bring 5G to as many people as possible, and now we are offering 5G connectivity across the entire Galaxy smartphone portfolio, giving more people high-speed access and connected experiences.”

The Galaxy A90 5G is also the first A-series that features 5G connectivity and probably making the more affordable 5G enabled smartphone in the market. It sports a huge 6.7-inch FHD+ resolution Super AMOLED Infinity-U display that houses a 32-megapixels front selfie camera. A fingerprint scanner is embedded beneath the display that found on the Galaxy A50/A70.

It equipped with triple-rear-camera setup; 48-megapixels f/2.0 wide, an 8-megapixels f/2.2 ultra-wide and a 5-megapixels depth sensor. Powering this huge display device is a 4,500 mAh battery that supports Super Fast Charging at 25W.

The Samsung Galaxy A90 5G will be available in 2 classic colour options; Black and White. No pricing unveiled at the moment but Korea will be the first country to receive the device starting 4th September and will be expanded to other markets thereafter.
