Samsung Galaxy A80 Unveiled – Pop-up Rotating Camera

Samsung Inc. holds A Galaxy Event this evening at Bangkok, Thailand unveiling their new A80 that features a unique camera setup.

In the approach of having an edge-to-edge display, the manufacturer has introduced a lot of way of hiding the front cameras and sensors. There are notches and a motorized pop-up camera. Samsung has been avoiding notch design display till they unveiled the A-series, M-series and also the S-series.

Now, Samsung introducing the first pop-up rotating camera. The user can now use the rear camera as the front camera to take photos and videos. Meaning you will get a high-quality selfie and probably also a great vlog camera-phone.

The Samsung Galaxy A80 equipped with three cameras; a 48-megapixels f/2.0 aperture main shooter, an 8-megapixels f/2.2 ultra wide and a 3D ToF sensor. With the 3D ToF camera sensor, not only you can take photos with “Bokeh” effect, so does video.

Under the hood is Samsung Octa-core SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB onboard that cannot be expanded. The A80 sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ SuperAMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner similar to the Samsung Galaxy A50. To keep the lights on is a 3,700 mAh battery that supports Samsung Super Fast Charge at 25W.
