Samsung has officially announced its latest Galaxy A8 (2018) series yesterday where it offers infinity display that inherited from the Galaxy S8-series. It comes in two size variants; the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018).
The standard Galaxy A8 gets a 5.6-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display where the A8+ offers 6-inch with same resolutions. This is also the first Galaxy A-series uses 18.5:9 ratio display. Under the hood is the Samsung Exynos 7885 Octa-core SoC, 4GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage for the A8 and the A8+ bumped up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB Onboard storage.
Besides that, the company also offers the first dual front-facing camera. A 16-megapixel f/1.9 plus an 8-megapixel f/1.9 that support Live Focus just like the Note8. The rear camera is a 16-megapixel f/1.7 aperture lens.
The fingerprint scanner is located on the rear, beneath the camera and supports Samsung Pay, support MST and NFC. For a mid-range device, the A8-series (2018) also get IP68 water and dust resistant just like the company flagship device.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) and A8+ (2018) will be available in January 2018. Prices will be announced when the date is near.
