Samsung Electronics announced the newest addition of the Galaxy A-series, on top of the just-announced Galaxy A14; the Samsung Galaxy A34 5G, and Galaxy A54 5G.
Interestingly, the Galaxy A54 5G sports a smaller 6.4-inch Super AMOLED panel while the Galaxy A34 5G has a larger 6.6-inch Super AMOLED. They have the same Full HD+ resolution display, 120Hz refresh rate, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and Vision Booster support. The duo also gets IP67 rating water dust resistance and is packed with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging.
The main differences are the internal and camera setup. The Galaxy A54 5G is powered by a 5nm Exynos 1380 chip while the Galaxy A34 5G gets the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1080.
The Galaxy A54 5G has a better camera array; 50MP f/1.8 primary camera, a 12MP f/2.2 fixed focus ultrawide, and a 5MP f/2.4 macro lens. It also gets a 32MP f/2.2 selfie camera.
As for the Galaxy A34 5G carry a 48MP f/1.8 primary, an 8MP f/2.2 fixed focus ultrawide, and 5MP f/2.4 macro lens. The selfie camera on this has only a 13MP sensor.
Runs on the latest Samsung One UI 5.1 based on Android 13. Like its flagship counterpart, the Galaxy A34 5G and Galaxy A54 5G will receive 4 major Android updates and 5 years of security updates.
The Galaxy A54 5G will be available in four color options; including Awesome Lime, Awesome Graphite, Awesome Violet, and Awesome White. The Galaxy A34 5G is available in Awesome Lime, Awesome Graphite, Awesome Violet, and Awesome Silver. It will be coming to Malaysia very soon.
I’m quite interested in the A34 though hopefully the price won’t burn a hole in my wallet.
