Samsung Announced Two New 5G Midrange Smartphone; Galaxy A51 5G and Galaxy A71 5G

Samsung Electronics announced two new 5G smartphones in a more budget lineup, the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G and Galaxy A71 5G. These two Galaxy A-series are the best selling upper mid-range devices from Samsung.

Both of the new devices are running on Samsung’s latest Exynos 980 5G chipset which was firstly found on the vivo S6 5G that launched last month.

“Our ambition with the Galaxy A series portfolio is to deliver must-have innovations, and powerful experiences, at a varied range of prices but without compromising on features,” said YeonJeong Kim, Vice President, Head of Innovative Product Planning Group Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics. “I’m excited today to be announcing the next step in our journey with the Galaxy A71 5G and Galaxy A51 5G. These devices are designed for the era of 5G, and are part of our ongoing commitment to deliver next-generation connectivity to more people, by building 5G into our diverse smartphone portfolio, at more accessible price points.”

Samsung Galaxy A51 5G is sporting a 6.5-inch Full HD+ SuperAMOLED display with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage. It packed with 4,500 mAh battery and supports 15W fast charging via USB Type-C.

Camera-wise, its quad-rear-camera setup; 48-megapixels main camera, a 12-megapixels ultra-wide, 5-megapixels depth sensor and a dedicated 5-megapixels macro lens.

As for the Galaxy A71 5G, it equipped with a larger 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with same RAM and storage configuration options.

It packed with 4,500 mAh battery and supports much fast charging speeds at 25W input. The camera setup are pretty much the same with the Galaxy A51 5G but it features a higher resolution main camera at 64-megapixels.

Both Galaxy A51 5G and Galaxy A71 5G has a hole-punch notch on the top of the display houses a 32-megapixels camera sensor. The overall design is identical with the non 5G version; dual-tone with gradient rear glass and triangle camera bump on the rear top left.
