Samsung has just unveiled the updated Samsung Galaxy Tab S, Tab S2. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is Samsung’s thinnest tablet they ever made and hold the title for the World’s Thinnest Tablet which measure at just 5.6mm thickness beat the Dell Venue 8 7000’s 6.0mm and iPad Air 2 at 6.1mm.
The Tab S2 comes in two screen size, 8-inch and 9.7-inch which is much smaller as compare to previous gen, 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch. Both features Super AMOLED display with QXGA 2,560 x 1,600 resolutions with 4:3 aspect ratio.
Both are sharing the same specification; powered with Samsung Exynos 5433 octa-core processor mated with 3GB of RAM. 8 megapixel rear camera without flash and 2.1 megapixel front camera.
It come in variety of connectivity and storage. It has versions with WiFi or WiFi and LTE Cat 6. It also has option of 32GB or 64GB of on-board storage with microSD card slot that support up to 128GB. The new Galaxy Tab S2 8.0-inch doesn’t support direct phone calling like the Tab S 8.4 which doesn’t have the earpiece on top of the screen.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 will be available globally starting next month, August 2015. No pricing were mentioned on the press release.
