Samsung Announced Galaxy A70 – New 25W Fast Charging & New 20:9 Display Ratio

Samsung Electronics today unveiled the latest Galaxy A70 that features a large infinity display, triple rear camera and new fast-charging (25W).

Today’s consumers are using their phones in a more visually active and authentic way – sharing their experiences and staying connected longer,” said DJ Koh, President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics. “These connections can only thrive when the most essential features allow people to enhance interactions through spontaneous, collaborative, and genuine connection. This requires an evolution. Which is why, to meet the needs of this emerging generation, we created the new Galaxy A70 – designed for the way people are connecting now.

This is the largest display in A-series line-up featuring a 6.7-inch Infinity-U where the notch houses a 32-megapixels f/2.0 aperture selfie camera. The A70 also bring a new 20:9 display ratio and optical in-display fingerprint scanner similar to the Samsung Galaxy A50. With such huge display, the Galaxy A70 packed with 4,500 mAh battery and supports new fast charging at 25W, faster than the current Samsung Galaxy S10 line-up.

Under the hood is Samsung Exynos SoC; Dual 2.0GHz + Hexa 1.7GHz processor with RAM up to 8GB and internal storage of 128GB.

The triple rear camera setup consists of a 32-megapixels f/1.7 aperture lens + 8-megapixels f/2.2 Ultra-wide lens and 5-megapixels f/2.2 depth sensor. The A70 will be running on the latest OneUI based on Android 9.0 Pie.

The Samsung Galaxy A70 offers in four colours; Black, Blue, Coral and White with 3D Glasstic. The A70 will be revealed at “A Galaxy Event” that will be taking place across three continents on 10th April 2019. The rumoured “Notchless” Galaxy A90 may be unveiled alongside.
