The LEAGOO Leapad 10 is basically a super affordable tablet that comes with phone calls capability where it has a huge 10-inch WXGA resolution display.

It’s for those who don’t wish to spend too much on a tablet but wish to have a great multimedia consumption device. The Leapad 10 priced at only RM 599 and it’s inarguable best value for money.

The Leapad 10 is powered by MediaTek MT8321 for tablet which is highly integrated 3G quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 SoC with 3D graphics. It runs on the company own’s OS, FREEME OS on top of Android 5.1. The tablet has 2GB of RAM and carrying 16GB of onboard storage which can be further expanded up to 64GB via dedicated microSD card slot.

Camera wise, it features a 5 megapixel rear camera with flash and a 2 megapixel front camera for video calls and selfie taking. Do not expect high quality photo taking with it, taking photos with tablet is rather take place.

Leapad 10 also support dual SIM and dual standby. It doesn’t only limits to internet usage, it can also make phone calls of course through the provided earpiece.

The LEAGOO Leapad 10 is fairly a big Android tablet that uses aluminium on the rear cover accompany by some plastic on the buttons and SIM card/microSD card slot cover. It feel reasonably solid. It doesn’t feel like a poorly-made cheap tablets.

The matte finishing that feel like anodized aluminum on the rear gave a better grip to held with single hand. The tablet is only weight at 350g and dimension of 243 x 172 x 9 mm (LxWxH).

Display & Loud Speaker

The screen is 10-inch across and uses an IPS LCD panel with 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution. It may not have high resolution but it gave a very bright and effective viewing angles. The screen is surprisingly to hold up well in bright sunlight.

It comes with dual speakers on the rear providing more volume and bass but the sound output does tend to get distorted when set at high volume. Overall, it’s much louder than others tablet out there.

The made-for tablet processor is performing well, despite the low-clock speeds. It able to handle some high-end games like Asphalt 8 and NFS as they do on a much more expensive tablets.

It also able to handle daily apps without any hiccup or sluggish experience.

To keep the 10-inch WXGA IPS HD display lights on, it packed with a 5,000 mAh battery capacity. On our regular battery test, the tablet able to garner around 5 hour of screen-on-time with video streaming, social media browsing and some gaming.

The Leapad 10 supported 5V/2A charging thus it able to fully charged from flat in less than 3 hours for such high capacity battery.

The LEAGOO Leapad 10 is a good tablet for the price. It may not be a performer tablet but it does gave a great large display, Dual SIM support, phone call capabilty and ideal entertainment tablet that doesn’t cost you a bomb.

There aren’t many alternative that are quite as afforable as the LEAGOO Leapad 10.

The downside of this tablet is the old software, Android 5.1 and non 4G LTE support. There are more app would required newer Android version to be compatible. Hope there will be new software update made available for it.
