I’ve just received the newly launched LEAGOO Elite 4 and below are my first impression about this budget mid range smartphone after used for few days.

The LEAGOO Elite 4 is nicely packed in a black box with LEAGOO’s green trims. Once opened, you welcomed by the 5-inch Elite 4 smartphone with Elite 4 logo next to it. Beneath it has an USB two pins adaptor, microUSB data cable, earpiece, 2,400mAh battery, additional earpiece buds with different sizes and a microUSB OTG cable. The company also thoughtful enough to bundle a screen protection film along with it.
The microUSB OTG cable works can connect to external flash drive, keyboard, mouse and as well reverse-charging cable that Elite 4 supported. Meaning to can charge others USB devices.
Cases like back protection case and smart flip cover are available to purchase from LEAGOO’s online store or from the dealer that you buying the smartphone.
I got myself the frosted transparent case and also a smart leather flip cover with window. Highly recommended to get this.
The leather flip cover is soft touch and fit nicely on the Elite 4.
The smart flip cover has a window that show time, notifications, calls and more.
There are 4 face watches that you can change to match your mood or attire of the day.
Elite 4 is powered with 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 and coupled with an 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. A microSD card slot made available for storage expansion and it can go up to 64GB. It has a high speed dual 4G LTE SIM and serve dual standby.
It runs on LEAGOO OS 1.1 on top of the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop.
There are a few useful functions that you can set according to your needs.
You can change your display colour temperature to sooth your eye viewing.
There are a thousand of themes, live wallpaper, HD wallpaper and icons pack to choose. It can be downloaded through the app itself.
You can wake up the phone from off-screen by double on the screen and also draw pattern to execute the program/apps to launch without pressing the power button and it customisable.
I find this very useful. For an example: when I want to count something that required calculator, I can just draw “i” on the off-screen and the calculator will be launched. I can draw “c” and the camera will be launched without the hassle to press unlock and look for the app.
Although Elite 4 has only 1Ghz Quad-core and 1GB of RAM. The user experience wasn’t that bad, it able to load apps and even high graphic games like Asphalt 8 without any issue.
It scored 21,093 points on AnTuTu benchmark which wasn’t that bad for such price tag smartphone.
On camera wise, it has an 8 megapixel rear camera with a LED flash and a 5 megapixel front facing camera.
It can shoot HDR, Panorama, Face Beauty and Live Photo. On video wise, it able to lock-focus that enable object tracking when you recording video.
