Razer Phone 2 Announced with Razer Chroma

Today Razer has officially unveiled their second Gaming Phone, Razer Phone 2.

There wasn’t much aesthetic change over the previous generation except now it uses Glass material on the back allowing Qi Wireless Charge and also IP67 water resistance. It still sports a 5.72-inch QHD, 2,560 x 1,440 resolutions IGZO IPS LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate and HDR support.

Razer includes the 2018 flagship SoC, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 that clocked at 2.8GHz with an Adreno 630 GPU. The company even scaled down the vapor chamber cooling technology to keep the phone in optimized temperature. It mated with 8GB of RAM and 64GB UFS onboard storage that can further expand up to 1TB via microUSB.

Razer are well-known for their Chroma with their gaming peripherals, this round Razer is making the Chroma LED effects on the Razer logo on the back while removed the LED notification from the front. The Razer Chroma LED is user-configurable.

Razer Phone 2 still gets a large top and chin bezels allowing the device to have two front-facing speakers that support Dolby 5.1 and achieve 100dB. The phone is packed with 4,000 mAh battery and support Quick Charge 4.0.

It has the same camera setup as the previous with a newer sensor, dual 12-megapixel rear camera, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

The Razer Phone 2 will be sold unlocked for US$ 799 (around RM 3,324) in selected countries. It comes with Mirror Black and Satin Black color option. The Razer Phone 2 Wireless Charger with Razer Chroma is sold separately for US$ 99.99 (about RM 4.16)
