Qualcomm Snapdragon 818, Deca-core (10-cores) CPU

Beside MediaTek working out on 10 cores (Deca-core) CPU processor with codename Helio X20, it seem that Qualcomm is also building up their 10 cores chipset.

The MediaTek MT6797’s 10 cores set up with four ARM A53 cores clocked @ 1.4GHz, four ARM A57 cores clocked @ 2.0GHz and two ARM A72 cores clocked @ 2.5GHz.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 818’s 10 cores are built differently. The low power cores has four ARM A53 clocked @ 1.2GHz, two ARM A53 clocked @ 1.6GHz and 4 four ARM A72 clocked @ 2.0GHz.

From the Snapdragon 818 setup, it look much more powerless consumption and higher performance boost as compare to MediaTek MT6797.

Both of the chips is produced using the 20nm process. The MediaTek has support of 993MHz LPDDR3 RAM and LTE Cat-6 (up-to 300Mbps) and the Qualcomm supported 1,600MHz LPDDR3 and LTE Cat-9 (up-to 400Mbps)

If the rumors are real, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 818 does sound promising. Wonder what does Snapdragon 820 would provide?
