POCO is a popular budget smartphone with a rather attractive price tag, especially its X-series. Today POCO unveiled two new smartphones, the POCO X5 Pro 5G and POCO X5 5G.

Aesthetically they are identical with a big black bar at the camera bump and a huge POCO branding. There are a 3.5mm audio combo jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and an IR blaster on the top.

The POCO X5 Pro 5G is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X memory and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. Sporting a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED DotDisplay with a 120Hz refresh rate, DCI-P3 wide color gamut, and 10-bit color depth. The display is also protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The POCO X5 Pro 5G is equipped with a 108-megapixels primary camera alongside an 8-megapixels ultrawide camera, and a 2-megapixels macro lens. The front camera is a 16-megapixels camera sensor with f/2.4 aperture.

As for the POCO X5 5G, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X memory and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.

Received the same display treatment, a 6.67-inch AMOLED DotDisplay with 120Hz refresh rate, DCI-P3 wide color gamut, and a high 1,200 nits peak brightness. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Photography-wise, it is equipped with a 48-megapixels primary camera, the same 8-megapixels ultrawide, and a 2-megapixels macro lens. The front selfie camera is a 13-megapixels camera sensor with an f/2.45 aperture lens.

The POCO X5 Pro 5G features dual SIM without any microSD card slot expansion whereas the POCO X5 has a hybrid SIM where the SIM2 can insert a microSD card.

Both are packed with a 5,000 mAh battery, the X5 Pro 5G features a faster 67W fast charging while the vanilla gets a decent 33W fast charging. The charger is included in the box.

POCO X5 Pro 5G will be available from 9th February with three color options; Black, Blue, and Yellow. This same goes with the POCO X5 5G with also three colors; Green, Blue, and Black.
