Pebble Introduced Pebble 2, Pebble Time 2 & All-New Pebble Core

My thought was wrong, Pebble indeed announcing the all new smartwatch and not one but two new smartwatches with heart-rate sensor built-in. Aside that Pebble also introduce something new, Pebble Core.

Pebble 2 & Pebble Time 2

First thing first, the new smartwatches back to the square design with an improvement of built-in activity tracking, heart rate monitor and updated suite health tools. Pebble 2 and Pebble Time 2 come standard with long battery life its predecessor, water resistance down to 30 meters and uses e-paper display for better indoor and outdoor reading without consuming high battery. Both support iOS and Android smartphones.

The Pebble 2 displaying high contrast black and white display whereby the Pebble Time 2 display 53% larger color display compare to Pebble 2. Pebble 2 can have battery life up-to 7 days where the Pebble Time 2 last 3 days longer which up-to 10 days.

Pebble Core for Runners & Pebble Core for Hackers

Next is Pebble Core(s). This is a totally new wearable for running. First is the Pebble Core for Runners, it’s a cellular-connected clip that replaces your phone when you out for run and leave your phone at home. The Pebble core can stream music from Spotify, tracks your pace, distance and even location with GPS.

It works seamlessly with your existing workout routine and syncs with major fitness apps like Runkeeper, Strava, Under Armour Record, MapMyRun and Google Fit. Become it’s a cellular-connected device, it accept a microSIM card and WiFi-enabled to sync offline music and workouts.

The Pebble Core for Runners come with a 3.5mm audio jack and support Bluetooth. It support wireless charging and the wireless charging pad comes in separately. A single charge can give you up-to a week’s worth of workouts. It also works along with your Pebble watch to control music, check time, pace and distance.

Pebble Core for Hackers, basically it’s a keychain computer that runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The Core turned into a magic button for any use of your imagination. It comes consumer-ready with GPS tracking, WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity and voice interface.

The keychain is a programmable buttons that can be configure to do whatever your like for instant, Order an Uber, turn and off light, play music with a click of a button. The GPS tracking built-in used to find your valuables items like lost keys, dog, suitcase and etc.
