OPPO Reno6 Series Are Now Official – Price Start from RM 1,699

OPPO Malaysia has just announced two new smartphones under the Reno6 series; OPPO Reno6 5G and Reno6 Z 5G.

OPPO Reno6 Z 5G

Both of the devices are midranger powered by MediaTek’s latest 5G SoC, the Dimensity 900 which is built based on a 6nm processor on the Reno6, while the Dimensity 800U on the Reno6 Z. Paired with 8GB of RAM and support OPPO’s new RAM Expansion technology, which allows up to 5GB of storage space to be used as additional RAM when required. It comes with one storage options, a 128GB with a dedicated microSD card slot.

OPPO Reno6 5G

The duo sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The Reno6 get a more fluid 90Hz refresh rate display while the Reno6 Z is stuck with a standard 60Hz. The Reno6 5G is packed with a 4,300 mAh battery and supports 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 which can charge to 100% in just 28 minutes. The Reno6 Z 5G ain’t shabby too with a 4,310 mAh battery and 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0.

Photography wise, they are pretty much the same on paper; a 64-megapixels f/1.7 aperture main camera, an 8-megapixels ultrawide and a 2-megapixels macro. The Reno6 5G get an additional Colour Temperature Sensor for a more accurate white balance shot. While the front hole-punch cutout houses a 32-megapixels front camera.

Both the Reno6 5G and Reno6 Z 5G runs with OPPO’s latest ColorOS 11, based on Android 11.
