OPPO Malaysia today announced the launch of the new OPPO A78 5G and it’s gonna be the most affordable 5G midrange smartphone by OPPO.

It’s actually RM 100 cheaper compared to its predecessor with bigger memory and storage but the processor has been downgraded from Dimensity 810 5G to Dimensity 700 5G. The OPPO A78 5G still sports a 6.56-inch 90Hz HD+ resolution IPS display, dual rear camera setup; 50MP primary camera, and a depth sensor. Backed with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33W OPPO SuperVOOC Fast Charge. It will also be featuring a stereo dual speaker, the latest Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band AC Wi-Fi, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and IP54 dust & water resistance.

The OPPO A78 5G is available in two color options; Glowing Purple and Glowing Black. It will be priced at RM 1,099 and available to purchase from 14th January 2023 at all My OPPO Space, OPPO Brand Stores, OPPO Official Online Store, OPPO Authorised Online Store, Chain Store Partners, E-comm partners, and Telco partners. Those who purchase from OPPO Brand Stores will receive a free OPPO band worth RM 159.
