OnePlus 3 Official Now! OnePlus Live Up Flagship Killer Again

Although this was the forth OnePlus smartphone released by the company but it is the third OnePlus flagship smartphone, so they called it OnePlus 3 instead of OnePlus 4

The OnePlus One was the first flagship smartphone that shaken the world with an unbelievable price tag for a flagship. This year with the OnePlus 3, the company has brought up back the flagship killer name again by offering stunning specification for under US$ 400 (about RM 1,680)

Like others flagship smartphone OnePlus 3 specs the most powerful SoC, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. OnePlus 3 sports a new display 5.5-inch “Optical AMOLED” Full HD that supply by Samsung. This wasn’t any new technology instead a series of custom-engineered gamma corrections to create more natural viewing experience. Basically it’s a customized software on current hardware display.

The OnePlus 3 has only 1 variant and they slammed it with an enormous 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB UFS 2.0 onboard storage. Like it others device, no storage expansion on the OnePlus 3.

It get a fully wrapped alloy aluminium back with a camera bump like the Samsung Galaxy S6. Overall design is very premium and nothing fancy/extreme which is very safe for user to pick one.

On the camera departments, it feature a 16 megapixel SONY IMX 298 sensor with OIS and EIS. It also can record video up to 4K resolution @ 30fps. As for the front camera, it get a large 8 megapixel SONY IMX 179 sensor and feature EIS.

Like the OnePlus 2, it has a capacitive home button that works as a fingerprint scanner and the useful alert slider. It runs on the latest OxygenOS based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

There are few missing features from it predecessor that now being introduced on the new OnePlus 3. NFC is available on the OnePlus 3 and it will be supporting Android Pay. Next is the fast charging/ Dash Charge to be called by OnePlus. Basically it’s a re-brand of OPPO Flash Charging that offers a 5V/4A power brick. It able juice up to 60% of the 3,000 mAh battery with just 30 minutes of charging time.

The invite system has abolished and now available for purchase at US$ 399. Color options is Graphite and Soft Gold. It will be available online and offline on 7 countries starting today.
