Xiaomi Malaysia today officially announced two new smartphones, Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 8 lite.
The Mi 8 Pro offered the flagship hardware including the in-display fingerprint scanner.
Mi 8 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128 UFS 2.1 internal storage. It sports a 6.21-inch Full HD+ resolution with a notch on top of the display. Similar to the Mi 8 Explorer Edition, the rear glass is semi-transparent showcasing the internal circuit board. To keep lights on is a 3,000 mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 4.0.
It has the same camera setup with the Xiaomi Mi 8, dual 12-megapixels rear camera and a 20-megapixels selfie camera. It also has IR projector dots camera that uses for face unlock and others security passcode.
From the name we can tell, the Mi 8 lite is a light version of the Mi 8 but it still packed with a decent SoC, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 mated with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. It has a 6.26-inch Full HD+ resolution IPS LCD display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass.
It equipped with dual rear camera setup, a 12-megapixels plus a 5-megapixels depth sensor camera. It has a 24-megapixel front selfie camera. It packed with 3,350 mAh battery.
Both of the devices will be available to purchase starting tomorrow nationwide Mi Store in Malaysia. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro will be offered at RM 2,399 whereas the Mi 8 lite priced at RM 999 and RM 1,299 for 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB variants respectively.
