OPPO has officially announced their new OPPO R-series, OPPO R17 Pro. This is the first device by OPPO to features tri-camera but it’s totally different configuration compare it to the HUAWEI P20 Pro – more about the camera later
The OPPO R17 Pro adopted the new “Waterdrop” notch display design same as the OPPO F9. With the 6.4-inch AMOLED display, the OPPO R17 Pro able to achieve a remarkable 91.5% screen-to-body ratio. Sitting on the “Waterdrop” notch is an A.I. powered 25-megapixel camera sensor along with earpiece speaker and some other sensors.
Back to the rear cameras, the OPPO R17 now features three cameras; a 12-megapixel dual aperture lens (f/1.5 & F/2.4) similar to the Samsung Galaxy S9/Note9, a 20-megapixel f/2.6 aperture lens for more photo data and a 3D TOF camera that handle mostly AR/VR.
Under the hood is Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage. Beneath the AMOLED display panel featured an in-display fingerprint scanner.
OPPO R17 Pro is also the second device that supports Super VOOC charge that currently only made available for OPPO Find X Lamborghini Edition. It equipped with two 1,850 mAh batteries that total up 3,700 mAh. With the total 50W Super VOOC charge, the OPPO R17 Pro able to gain 40% battery by 10 minutes charge.
The OPPO R17 Pro is now open for pre-order at the priced of RMB 4,299 (about RM 2,564) It only comes with 1 configuration and 1 color option, 8GB of RAM, 128GB onboard storage and Gradient Purple.
